About the event

From protecting the Franklin River to anti-nuclear protests and lock the gate actions, many peaceful protests have changed the political agenda and helped shape the Australia we enjoy today.

Protests have helped influence decisions about environmental protection for many years in Australia. Yet recently there is growing concern that governments and corporations are pushing forward with fresh attempts at creating new anti-protest laws that could silence vital voices in our community.
